Ed Center Rm 106

UMF history professor Anne-Marie Wolf is a scholar of medieval Spain who became active in the border immigration crisis as a volunteer in 2019. She spent part of June in El Paso, Texas at Annunciation House, which offers hospitality and transportation assistance to people just released from detention after crossing the border. Since returning, she has been intensely involved as a remote volunteer for Southern Poverty Law Center (in the Southeast) and Al Otro Lado (San Diego and Tijuana, Mexico), primarily doing translations of documents people need for their cases. Come and hear about her experiences and those of the people seeking to come here.
